Teach Soap

Hi everyone, hope you can help. I follow the recipe for cupcake bathbombs by Anne-Marie and when I pipe the frosting it looks amazing, but then will start to soften and slide off the base! Not good! I've tried reducing the amount of sweet almond oil and increasing the amount of meringue powder but still have hit and miss results - any tips gratefully received

Sorry you are not getting that to work for you! Which recipe did you try? I know she has done a few.

This is the newest and (I believe) the favorite;

Hi Bramble Momma, thank you so much for helping with this. This is the recipe I use, but I have tried to convert cups to grms and substituted slsa for the sls.

Frosting:
1 1/2 cups Meringue Powder
1/2 cup warm water
8 tablespoons Jojoba Oil
2 cups Powdered Sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons Cream of Tartar
1 3/4 cups Sodium Laurel Sulfate (SLS)

I've had a look at the recipe that you shared with me, but am hoping to try and perfect this one as I want it to be more a bath fizzy than a soap.

My suggestion would be to make it a bit thicker. It sounds like it's softening up in the environment (hot? humid?) and that's what is causing it to lose its shape. So, by piping just a little thicker, hopefully that will solve the problem =)

Wow! I can't believe I got a message from the Soap Queen herself, I feel truly honoured! I will try again, I think perhaps that my conversions from cups to grams isn't really accurate enough. I know that in the US all the measurements seems to be in cups, but it would be really helpful to have them in grams or even ounces to help get quantities right.
