I would like to add lotion to my line of products I sell at craft fairs this coming fall. I am still learning about lotion and would like options on the ingredients of a mulit base lotion I have found. The directions say you scent and add water to the thickness you prefer with guildlines on how much of each. Here are the indgredients: Water, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Isopropyl Palmitate, Shea Butter, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, PEG-100 Stearate, Ceteareth-20, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetaryl Alcohol, Vitamin E Oil, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Methyparaban, Propylparaben Buytlparaben, Isobutylparaben, Isopropylparaben, Phenoxythanol
I have also located a base that is paraben free that you just add EO or FO and its ingredients are: Ingredients: Water, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Cyclopentasiloxane, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Glycerin, Cetyl Alcohol, Sorbitol, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil**, Linum Usitatissimum Seed Extract**, Punica Granatum Extract**, Olea Europaea Fruit Extract**, Laminaria Digitata Extract**, Morinda Citrifolia Extract**, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract**, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Tocopheryl, Phospholipids, Tocopheryl Acetate, Retinyl Palmitate, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Ascorbic Acid, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Extract, DMDM Hydantoin, PEG-150 Distearate, Xanthum Gum,Disodium EDTA.
** Denotes organic material.
I think I would really like the second one better, but I have little experience with lotions. Any advice or opinions on these two options is greatly appreciated. Amy
