Does anyone in Canada know if I need to include the preservative that is in the lab color on my labels/ notification forms for Health Canada or can I just put the color and CI number?

HI Pat,

I'm in Canada, and having read the through the Health Canada regs, yes...everything has to go on the list.
The reasoning is that they, or the consumer, should not have to assume what is in there or not, and depending on the manufacturer of the lab colour, it could be one of several preservatives.

I did end up putting it on my label, thought I should cover my butt just in case. I would not want a customer to have an allergic reaction. I know just love doing all this paper work for health canada.

I know exactly what you mean...my labels would look a lot better - less crowded - if everything didn't have to be in French as well as English!!
I am in Calgary - NOBODY speaks French out here - they spend most of their time wishing that Quebec didn't even exist! lol

My labels would be more functional if they were printed in Punjabi!

LOL that is so true. It is a pain in the butt trying to make it all fit. All my ingredients are in INCI, and directions are in both, which is a pain since I don't speak the language. I have to get my sister to translate for me. thank goodness she know how to speak and writing french. I think my font size is about a 5 or 6. it is small.
