Been working on my lip gloss, and formulating from scratch has had it's ups and downs. I am now using all natural ingredients: beeswax, sweet almond, jojoba, coconut, meadowfoam, green tea, vitamin e. Just added lanolin oil and castor jelly. Love to hear some thoughts on these two.
I took out the candelilla wax and shea butter because everything went grainy on me. Thought it might be one of those. Does anyone have a basic formula recipe for using these types of ingredients?
Main problem will be going bigger. I'm just working in teaspoons at the moment. How the heck do you figure into parts and/or percentages?
Also, any thoughts on pharmaceutical grade anyhydrous lanolin? I'm trying to get the consistency of the formula to be a bit heavier or stickier. It's coming out quite light and sometimes too greasy. Upping the beeswax helped, but thought the lanolin would give it a better boost.
Thanks for allowing a newbie on board!
