Teach Soap

I have some oils like almond, grapseed, avocado, but when I see a recipe that calls for olive oil I am never sure what to buy. For body butters or lip gloss would you buy extra virgin or just oilve oil. I dont know what the diff is?

Extra virgin is the first press of the olives. It is generally very green and will smell like olive oil. This smell will come through and compete with any other scents you are using

Regular olive oil is usually the second press and is much lighter in color (light yellow) and pretty odorless.

I usually use regular olive oil do that I do not have to compete with the natural properties of EVOO.

I use pretty much every kind of olive oil except pomace. That one traces way too fast for me.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

Thanks again everyone. I will try regular, I am guessing that trace has something to do with c/p soap. I dont make anything except m/p, I
am going to use the olive oil in body products other than soap.
