Teach Soap

I purchased some Shea Aloe Butter recently in hopes of makeing a nice Body butter I added a small amount of almond oil and whipped.
I dont like the result. Does anyone have a good receipe for a creamy boddy butter, maybe I should use a diff butter than shea or aloe.
I have read some reviews where someone has mixed a lotion base with a butter. I am not sure that is a good idea since the lotion base
will prob have water in it. I am confussed about mixing lotion bases with butters any advise will be appreciated ?

You will compromise the preservative and the emulsion stability if you add more butter after the lotion is made. What exactly don't you like about the one you made? Is it too greasy? Too thick? Or???

Thanks soap buddie, It is thick and hard to spread and feels greese.

If it's hard and too thick you can add a small amount of a liquid oil and rewhip, It will always be greasy, due to the ingredients used.

You can cut the butter a little at a time with your choice of oil until you get the consistancy you want,just keep whipping,some people use a liittle corn starch to cut the greasy feel,but if your new to using a straight butter like this you just have to give it a few more minutes to absorb into your skin than other products ,the result is a very longlasting softness that is worth the few min. I cut my sheabutter with olive oil or you can google shealoe body butter recipes and that will keep you busy for a LONG time.

of butter and 20 percent oil how much cornsrarch I should start with?
