Amounts for something like a balm? Is there a formula for it? I have a few recipes for it, but I was sort of wanting to make my own but Im not sure how to figure out how much beeswax to add, to make it not too soft but not too hard? Does that make sense?

I use 2 parts beeswax, 2 parts butter, and 1.5 parts lanolin to 5 parts olive oil. It makes a balm that is definitely firm, but when you wipe your finger across it it comes off easily. It is a little sticky on the lips for about 3 seconds and then absorbs. Haven't had any feedback from the customers yet but I really like it. Good luck!

I would start with the 1/3, 1/3 and 1/3 like WinterMoon says and see how you like it. Then you can tweak it from there.
