Teach Soap

I have no idea where to begin for a nice facial scrub. I like the St. Ives apricot scrub but don't like all the chemicals they put in there. Does anyone have a basic recipe I could try or any hints on where I should start.

From an Esthetician's point of view, I would not use crushed apricot shells. They create micro tears on your facial skin and can damage it. I would use jojoba beads or oatmeal instead. Or you can make a simple scrub with a nice oil like jojoba and add some sugar to it.

I think Brambleberry's Liquid Soap Paste would be a good start

You can make it as thick or thin as you want it.

St. Ives has more cornmeal in it than ground apricots. Cornmeal makes a pretty good scrub, plus it's cheap


Soapies-Supplies has a really nice SunflowerPlus Soap Paste, also.

Thank you very much. What type of ratio of oils to soap would you recommend. I am only guessing that it's oils, exfolient and soap or am I on the wrong track.
