I have questions about SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) and SLSa (Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate). I've read that SLS is drying to the skin and SLSa is better for the skin or not as harsh. Also I've noticed in some Bubble Bar recipes the ingredients call for SLS or SLSa but they have the wrong name written beside the letters. i.e. SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate). Which one is better to use? Are they interchangable? And how come Brambleberry doesn't sell SLSa (Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate)? Does one bubble more than the other?

Some bubble bars posted on the net are by people that don't know the difference between the two. SLSa (Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate)is the one you want. Both lather equally well, but SLSa is the milder of the two. A lot of vendors don't sell it because it's a fine powder that goes everywhere and a mask should be used when working with it.
