Sorry for all the questions! I tried to type whipped soap into the search but it said there was too many results.
I'm interested in making whipped soap that stays soft, to put into containers like body butter.
NOT using any CP method. I assume just whipping MP it will harden up later. I want it to stay soft and have the same texture as like a body butter. Anyone have any easy recipes for this that a newbie can understand? Thank you all :)

Anne-Marie posted a tut on her blog. It's the whipped soap tutorial. Add 55g of Liquid Soap to 225g MP soap and whip. http://www.youtube.com/user/soapqueentv ... 0CB4osn6Zk
Here is another tut. http://goplanetearth.com/project_soap_frosting.html

Hi again! thank you for the links. I did see the soap queen tut and the consistency looks a little..I guess you could say "rubbery" if you notice when she peeled it off. I wanted it softer, so you have to scoop it.
In the second link, I did notice they sell that base already made up. After looking on Etsy at other whipped soap, I notice a lot of the ingredients are the same except no one is really using Propylene Glycol in their ingredients.
This is the ingredient list from the base already made up.
Distilled Water, Glycerin, Sorbitol, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate, Sodium Chloride, Propylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Tetrasodium EDTA

Do you think there is any way to make this up ? I don't know what half that stuff is lol
I wonder if you add more liquid soap to MP if it would stay soft later?

Distilled Water,
Glycerin,
Sorbitol - a form of sugar
Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate - surfactant
Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate - sufactant
Sodium Chloride - salt
Propylene Glycol - humectant
Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben, Isobutylparaben - preservative
Tetrasodium EDTA - adjunct to the preservatives above

I don't know how you would make this from scratch.
You could try making whipped cream soap from scratch. http://www.soap-making-essentials.com/h ... cream.html

Thank you for that link too! That is exactly the consistency I want..minus all the work and lye and stuff lol
i'm not ready for that yet. While my animals will be in the bedroom with the door closed when I soap in the kitchen, I'm too paranoid about the lye having animals.
Maybe these people are using bases. I find it hard to believe they are all using the exact same ingredients, it almost has to be a base. I never tried to search for that, i just keep searching "whipped soap recipes"

You can buy the premade base from www.goplanetearth.com . 2-lb. Body Butter Whip is $14.95.
You can see their video here. http://www.goplanetearth.com/project_soap_frosting.html

thank you, I saw that one though..it has that prop gly whatever in it lol Not that I'm trying to compare myself to others but a lot of sellers on Etsy that have high sales...say their base doesn't have that in it. You know how these people are , paranoid of everything! Sometimes I guess you have to go with the flow..or something like that.
I did find it though without that in it! 10lbs for 39.00 with really good reviews. It's a Stephenson (sp?) base. I wish BB carried something like this, I wanted my whole order with them :(

If you are still reading this (lol) Can you help with this?
The whipped soap says " Fragrance - The Foaming Bath Butter is incredibly robust, and will accept a fragrance load of up to 5% essential oil or fragrant oil. Consumer applications indicate a load of 2 to 3% is preferred. "
For a 2 lb batch (which is what they suggest to whip so the mixer gets it all ) how much FO would that be? I don't have a gram scale so in ounces or ml (I do know 1oz is 29ml)
I would say let's go with the 3% for 2lbs , how much ml would that be?

I tend to err on the side of caution. For 2 lbs. I would use 7 ml. or 162 drops. If that's not enough fragrance, you can double the original amount.

ok so even doubling it would be 14ml, I would still have about 1/2 of my 1 ounce bottle left right? Math is not my strong subject lol
Just wanted to make sure I might have some FO left for possible 1lb of MP per fragrance
Thank you :)

1 oz. of FO is 29.57 ml. So if you're using a 1 oz. of fragrance and use up to 14 ml. you should have a 1/2 oz. of your FO left.
