You know how Ch*nel lipsticks have a Rose type smell to them? Am I able to do this in the lipsticks that I make? If so, how much FO can I use? Or could it be a Flavor Oil that they use?

Unless the fragrance oil is specifically made for lip products, then no. Use oil based flavor oils. There is a Rose flavor oil.

Thank you Soapbuddy. Is there a particular place that selle Rose flavor oil? I didn't want to use Rose per se, but aren't all flavor oils oil based?

Flavor oils are used in sodas, so those are water based. Lip balms and lipsticks are oil based, so you need oil based flavor oils. Take a look at BrambleBerry site and their lip balm flavor oils for more info.

Try Passion Fruit Rose from BB. It's both a fragrance oil and a flavor oil. Be aware, it is VERY strong. Use sparingly. Oh and on the preservative question. I use Vitamin E for lip balms and Liquid Germall Plus or Germaben II for lotions. Vitamin E is not really a preservative, it just extends the life of your oils a bit.
