Hi,

I was browsing through Folksy (UK site a bit like Etsy), and found this. The shape looks like it could have been moulded in a Christmas Pudding container. I can't work out how they got the top all smooth and creamy looking like that though. Does anyone have any idea?!! I think it looks really cool. It almost looks like melt and pour, but it can't be surely? It doesn't look like SQ's bath cupcake frosting either.

The photo to me is a little pixelated, so it's hard to tell, but it looks like it's MP, or a combo of MP and CP. Too bad that rose bud will not stay that color. It will oxidize and turn brown. That size looks about right for pudding cups that we have here in the US.

It's a long-shot, but I'm seeing a packed bath bomb on the bottom & possibly a layer of foaming bath butter melted & poured on top... Sort of a fizz-&-foam thing. Totally a stab in the dark, though - Magia, can you post a link to the listing?

Here is the listing> http://www.folksy.com/items/1267633
She calls it a creamer. Maybe it's bath butter on the bottom with MP on top?

The reason I was confused, is I would imagine M&P, which contains some water, would set off the bath bomb/fizzy mixture... am I wrong about that?!

I would imagine you could do it as a melt though... with maybe cocoa butter melted and poured on the top. Something oil based would be less likely to set off the reaction.

Any thoughts...?

I wonder if the oxidisation, is the reason the person has left the rose bud sticking out the top. If it is already dried, might that not help with the discolouration? So it wouldn't discolour till you dropped it in the bath. Again, it may depend whether it is water based M&P or something oil based on the top, as a water based thing would surely be absorbed by the flower, making it discolour. I find they don't discolour so much in bath bombs made with oils, rather than witch hazel to hold them together. (Though by the time they drain away at the bottom of the bath, they are usually starting to go!)
