Selling or Not, please give me your opinion.

I see so many different bottles (plastic) out there and would like to know your favorites styles or color to use for a thick lotion. Do you prefer the tall bottles, boston rounds, cream jars or?? What size sells well or do you like to purchase-8oz or smaller?? My lotion is white and I don't plan on adding color, so I don't know if a clear bottle would sell. I am leaning toward the colbalt blue PET Bottles. Has anyone used them and what are your thoughts. Are you able to squeeze them if necessary to get the last of a product out? If not using a cream jar but a bottle, do you prefer the disc cap or a pump? What type of lables do you use, waterproof or just a nice printed sticker? And where do you like to purchase them from?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I'm using 8 oz. and 4 oz. clear PET for my lotions. I don't use any color as that doesn't sell here. I use a pump. That seem to be easier for my customers. My labels are either from labelsbythesheet, onlinelabels or rippedsheets. If you have a laser printer, get the waterproof labels.

Same here - 4 & 8 ounce PET, & I source my gloss labels from 2 of the three companies soapbuddy mentioned. I use cosmo ovals with disc caps for my current lotion, & have 4 ounce jars en route for a new, thicker cream I'll be adding in the New Year.

I have an 8 ounce jar of hand cream from another Etsy seller, & IMO it's too big - I'm not getting through it very fast, & I'm wary of keeping a product that I dip my hands into for more than a few months. A bottle is easier to keep contaminant-free, but won't work for thicker products, hence my 4 ounce jars...

I use 4 & 8 oz clear PET boston rounds. I don't color my lotions, most of the customers like them white. It gives them a more natural look to it.
I use the disc caps.
For labels I use from onlinelabels & labelsbythesheet Then after they've printed I spray them lightly with clear acrylic enamel.
I'm not a big fan of the jars. The thought of dipping my fingers in something then rubbing it all over my body and then redipping my fingers in there.
I could see maybe a small jar for face creams since you'd only take out a small amount of cream each time and probably wouldn't be redipping.

Thank you for your suggestions. Great things to think about. I agree about the cream jars if they are too large, good point. I don't like redipping either. I'll order a few samples of bottles and go from there.
