Teach Soap

I need help asap!!! Someone placed an order from me on etsy. They ordered 10 bath bombs and they need them by Thursday. Here is the dilemma. They are soft and keep falling apart. I put them in the oven for about 45 minutes on 200 and had to take them out because they started to crack. I don't know what to do because I have no more fo, no more citric acid. What do I do?

Is this a tried and true recipe? Is it humid where you are? Which recipe did you use?

I'm not sure if making a huge batch was smart, I have been googling and youtubing bath bomb recipes, and it seems like everyone's mostly the same. Some are using the 2 to 1 ratio of baking soda to citric acid, others are using one to one ratio. Most people add some type of oil and others don't add oil at all. Most people are making small batches. Let me ask you; do you think too much oil might be a problem? I did keep adding oil to see if it would clump more together. I'm not sure if this might be the problem because they are not hardening at all. Earlier I used 1 tbsp of oil to each 1 cup citric acid and 2 cups baing soda plus the fragrance oil. One person stated that using Epsom salts will help draw out the moisture as well.

Adding more oil than needed will make the bath bombs soft. I don't know of anything that would fix it at this point.

Thank you soapbuddy, I had to hunt down a store that sells citric acid and another store that sold fragrance oil so I can hurry up and make them and ship them out tomorrow. I'm just wondering, if I am in charlotte NC, will they get to Maryland in enough time for Thusday if I send it Priority?

Thanks soapbuddy. I have to wait until tomorrow to send it, i had to wait to get the ingredients so I couldn't make them until 5. I will send them tomorrow before 12.

I talked with the workers at the post office by me and they told me it makes no difference if a package is dropped off at 9:30am or near 5pm. They said only one trip a day is made to the main hub and that is at 5pm for them. So I asked them if it makes a difference if I take it to the main hub in the morning myself and they said no it does'nt. It would get there at the same time. Next time you send a package out at the post office where you live ask them if there is anything you can do to save time on a shipment. I suppose they all work a little differenty.
