Denversoap, we all have sensitive skin, I tried it on 4 of us. My hubby's face is still red toned, like he worked out...he cannot touch his face with the lotion on his fingers...no burn other then his face...and he used it everywhere else, and i mean everywhere...then me, tried it first, only sensation like a menthol rub on my hands, no where else, I used it everywhere and right after it was made..I hate menthol rubs, makes my hand cold. I let my dear friend test...and insisted she put it on her leg, and hand..she's way more sensitive, so no face..she also experienced a sensation on her legs and hands, and unfortunatly won't try it much again even though I want her to test it. I don't blame her. Then her fiance, he had sensaitons on his hands, and I had to fuss about him trying it. Of course I said to wash it off with soap if it was uncomfortable and not use it again. They will look for any color changes in the bottles for me. I LOVE MY TESTERS and I would never sell under these condition, but for my first, It wasn't too bad.
Soapbuddy, it must be too much preservative and too much fragrance..The smell of the cherry almond does have a menthol note to it...the lotion it'self is great. I'll reduce it to see what happens. I don't like making small batches of anything, but I'll try. I'll try making it unsented and with no preservative, for me of course, to see if that helps with the tingling menthol thing.
On another note, can you tell me what Stearic Acid is, I know it is the product in Palm Oil, that settles if I don't mix it for my cp soapl, but that cannot be the reason right? Acid in the name scares people. Thanks for letting me ramble on..
