I have a question ladies, Is it possible to make a lip or cheek product with beet or cherry extract and vegetable glycerin and essential oil? The recipe sounds good but I'm not sure what the ratios would be, what essential oil would be used and if food extracts are useable in beauty products. Thank you!!

For that type of a formula, you will need an emulsfier and a preservative. Glycerin will not stay mixed with oils and neither will the extracts if they are water soluble.

The reason why I am asking is because I saw a recipe for this lip stain and it only mentioned using the 2 extracts and the glycerin and essential oils and I wasn't sure how it mixed properly.
