I'd like to make a moisturizer specifically for the under eye area. I'm thinking of using vitamin e, aloe vera liquid, avocado oil....not sure what else right now. Any suggestions? Can I use the same ratios as I do for my body lotions? Curious if anyone else has made their own eye moisturizer. Thanks!

Aloe is water soluble. It will not mix with your oils. You would also need a emulsifier and a preservative. How about something with just oils? There are some nice oils out there; meadowfoam, rosehip, abysinnian or borage?

Thanks, though I knew that which is why I asked if I could follow my lotion recipe for an eye moisturizer, but use oils that will be better for the sebaceous glands around the eyes.
