I'm looking for a recipe/formula for using lanolin and e-wax in a lotion. I have found some with beeswax as an ingredient but I have more success with e-wax as an emulsion. I'm new to lotion making. Please help!

Beeswax borax combo in lotion is not time stable. E-wax is a complete and easy to use emulsifier. You can sub a small amount of lanolin in any lotion recipe. Depending whether you use refined or unrefined, the scent of the lanolin might come through. Some people don't find the scent pleasant. It is also sticky in higher amounts. What exactly are you looking for in a lotion?

I ordered a small amount of it and I don't want to waste it. I have a book with natural recipes and it calls for lanolin. But the recipes I have found online or in books for a lotion calls for beeswax/borax emulisifier. I'm trying to make a creamy body lotion that moisturizies my skin leaving it soft. And I want to make a face moisturizer. I wish I would have gotten into this hobbie years ago.

If you want a creamy body lotion that moisturizies the skin I would use beneficial skin oils and Polawax. Don't waste your ingredients on something that will not work in long term. Also, don't forget to add a preservative!!! That's very important, otherwise you might as well throw the lotion that you made into the trash after 2 days. Just because the lotion might look or smell fine, without a preservative, germs, mold and bacteria will multiply, even the ones that you can't see.
