I am currently working on perfecting a bath jelly recipe. i followed the recipe on TeachSoap and am having a little trouble with it. I used a 1/2 oz of the Germaben and smelled that above everything else. If I add less do you think it would make a difference? Or was it the reaction between the FO and the Germaben? Also, the 1/2 cup of the MP didnt prove to be enough soap for the finished product. Do any of these recipes need adjustment or tweaking? I have ingredients that I am trying to figure out how to use them and what an alternative might be; propolene glycol - humectant in cosmetics
methylparaben - preservative
glycerin
slsa
benzyl benzoate - fixative, improve stability of main ingredients

Germaben does have a scent of its own, which is sometimes hard to mask. I no longer work in cup measurements, since they are not accurate. I go by ozs. gms., or lbs. I would convert your recipe into ozs. Then convert it into %. That way you can make any size batch.
