Hi All,
I am looking for a good toner formula which is unscented and uses witch hazel extract or something equally as good for sensitive skin.

If this is for yourself you can use plain witch hazel. If this is to sell, I would use a hydrosol, but it will need a preservative to ensure its shelf life and the safety of your customers.

Thanks soapbuddy, but I am looking for a specific formula with the percentages of differet ingredients or types of ingredients. Once I have that I will be able to start to customize this product for different skin types. If anyone has anything like that it would be very much appreciated.

Since there are many skin types out there, I would suggest that you search what type of ingredients work well with a particular skin type.

Yes, I am actually in school for skincare so I have that covered. Soapbuddy if you dont have a formula it is ok. Please give someone else a chance to post something if they can be of assistance. I have found many recipes and formulations on the web but am just not happy with the outcome so I thought I would post here to see if anyone else has any good suggestions.

While some on this forum post recipes, many (if not most) don't. Formulas tend to be closely guarded proprietary knowledge, and people spend a lot of time and expense fine-tuning them. However, if you have a recipe that you've used and you'd like some input on what you might change to get results you like more, try posting it along with your concerns about the current outcome and you'll probably get some valuable feedback.

As it stands, the best advice I can offer is exactly what Soapbuddy said, and what she told me when I needed help with a lotion bar formula: Research your ingredients and use those that are targeted to the required skin type. Also, make small batches, changing just one thing at a time - and research what you're changing so you can compare the results you expect with the results you actually get.

Good luck with your toner; I'm sure you'll eventually develop a formula you like.

Hi Erin, I hope I may be of some help here I have developed a skin toner which many of my customers really like although it does not contain witch hazel, but if you wanted to add it I do not see a problem .
3oz aloe vera juice,1oz calendula extract,15 drops lavender eo,3 drops peppermint eo,10 drops fennel eo,I think I use chamomile too but I don't have the recipie in front of me so I'll let you know later.All measured by volume, I treat it with 1% cosmocilcq to preserve.Is this what you mean?

Oh! this is great help. Yes i was just looking for a place to start so i could play around and customize for some of my customers' different skin types. I kept finding recipes with apple cider vinegar in them. While it is great for balancing the pH of the skin it does not smell so pleasant. I appreciate your input and cannot wait to try some toners!
