Hi Everyone,

So I bought a shower gel base and was going to fragrance it and give it to my boyfriend (because no matter how many batches of CP soap I make, he just won't use it!! He loves body wash). So I tried adding some pineapple FO to a small amount (about 1.8 oz of gel and .09 oz of FO). I also added 2 drops of yellow food coloring. So I have a couple questions. First is it ok to add food coloring to a shower gel? And second why did it get so runny and thin? It was so thick trying to get it into the bottle and then it just turned to liquid on me. I only used the .5% FO that I was supposed to.

Some fragrance oils tend to thin out the shower gel. I think you added too much. Here is a link with more fragrancing info: http://www.candlesupply.com/BBfochart.html
