Teach Soap

Back with another lip balm question. I made some stuff before christmas and put it in tubes. I used a recipe of beeswax and shea butter from the brambleberry site, and measured it carefully. It seems to have almost separated a bit, become a little bumpy(like tiny little white bumps in the lip balm). It's still totally useable and smooths out with your body heat, so im guessing its just a cosmetic defect because of something small i did wrong. It also looks smooth again for awhile if I heat it with a little creme bruele torch.

When originally making it, I heated the ingredients in a double boiler slowly until just melted. I thought maybe I could have gotten the ingredients too hot and it caused this? but I did it all so slowly it seems almost impossible. Any ideas from the experienced people? Thanks!!

It's the shea butter. That's just the nature of this beast. Sometimes it helps to immediately put it in the fridge, so it can cool off quicker.

I had a feeling you'd know the answer soapbuddy! Thanks! So, technically is there anything wrong with it? any better suggestions instead of shea?
