Just off the cuff, does anyone know if homemade lip balms, sugar scrubs etc. are cheaper than the ready to use bases. I've made both, ready to use and homemade, but not enough to really tell the difference.

Got laid off from my job recently :cry:

so I have to watch every penny. Thank you everyone.

For me it costs less if I make them myself. Things like sugar I can buy in the grocery store. I use oils & butters in my soaps, so the same goes in my lip balms.

I'm sorry you got laid off.

I agree Soapbuddy, I love when I can buy supplies in the grocery stores for lotions etc. Shipping costs can run so high. Last week sugar was on sale $10.00 for a 25 lb bag , Lots of sugar scrubs in the future!! And fresh baked chocolate chip cookies....
