The lotion I have been making is leaving a powdery feel after it dries...Anyone know why?

18 oz. Distilled Water
1.2 oz. Shea Butter
1.7 oz. Mango Butter
1 oz. Jojoba Oil
1.2 oz. Emulsifying Wax
1 oz. Stearic Acid
.2 oz. Germaben II
.1 oz. Fragrance

Is the shea butter or mango butter unrefined? Are you using Polawax or e-wax NF?

I get them from BB, they are both refined. Shea butter actually says ultra-refined. And I am using E-wax NF

I read another post that said to reduce the steric acid....What do you think? I know you're an expert on here
Maybe it is just me...but I don't like the powdery feel. It almost leaves them kinda rough instead of smooth. It's hard to explain lol. I just wish I knew what it was so I could take that ingridient out.

Some people use stearic acid, some people don't. Try it with 2 ozs. of e-wax and don't add any stearic.

I just made lotion from the Brambleberry kit as well but I'm thinking reducing the stearic acid. When I put the lotion on my skin it feels a little hard - would reducing the stearic acid help?
