I am going to use Cosmocil cq in my lotions. It says to add it to the water phase, what is the best temp for the water to be? Any other tips you can give for useing this preserve ????

You would be better off adding the Cosmocil CQ after your liquids and oils are emulsified. Cosmocil can take heat up to 150 degrees, but if you heat your water with the preservative in it and the water (or liquid) goes higher than 150, you could negate the properties of Cosmocil CQ. Recommended usage is 0.2 to 1.5%, depending on ingredients used.
