After 4 attempts I've finally got a liquid soap that has thickened properly and doesn't dry my hands out. Took a few bottles round to my various guinea pigs, err testers, and found out it feels all slimy when used in softened water! Anyone know why? I don't suppose for one minute there is anything I can add and still be able to label it 'all natural'?

That's one of the side effects of having a water softener. I don't think you can add anything to change that.
