I'm confused with the various SLS's out there

I have a friend who is allergic to sulfates. Hence why she doesn't use SLS.

But I saw an ingredient in a product she uses that has sodium lauryl sulfoacetate.

What's the difference?

The second one is a milder ingredient. Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate, also known as Sodium Dodecyl Sulfoacetate, is an organic based – surfactant in a white powder or flake form. Can you give her a small sample to try?
