I had a scare earlier today at the pharmacy. ZOMG!? Epsom salts are used as a laxative!? Ewwww.

Then I did my research and found that they are commonly used in "Bath Salts" for a variety of reasons.

Having dipped my finger in both pies, I wonder which one is preferable amongst customers. I certainly like both.

I use a mixture of both. It depends where you want to take your final product. Epsom salts have more moisture, so they can clump over time or get hard.

As long as our customers aren't eating the products, I'm pretty certain all will be well. I grew up being taught that soap, if not washed properly from a dish, for example, can cause diarrhea. Wive's tale, methinks.
