Hi all,

You're always so helpful when it comes to my M&P issues, so this was the first place I thought of when I got a very unique request from a customer...

My customer is looking for a lip balm which tastes TERRIBLE - she wants to have something for her lips that will make her not want to bite at them. I am trying to come up with simple and harmless things that can be added to a basic lip balm base that would taste, well, gross....

Any ideas?

Lanolin. It is great for lip balms and I can't stand it.

Years ago there was a nail polish that tasted gross to prevent kids from sucking their thumbs and to prevent adults from biting their nails. I'm not sure what the chemicals are but i bet you could do some research and find it. That might give you some ideas of what to add. I have the same biting lip problem and i find just wearing lip stick helps stop it because you don't want lipstick all over your teeth. Good Luck!

Just one customer requesting terrible tasting lip balm? Maybe if this was a VERY loyal customer that has purchased a lot of products from you, it may be worth the time and effort to come up with something. I don't see a really big demmand on bad tasting lip balm!

hmm. how about fish oil? it's got omega 3's in it wich is good for you, but it tastes gross.

also, how about anything bitter. that will give the tongue a "sting" and the person won't want to lick it anymore.

hehe, or you could do both....
