I love my new lotion bar!

And so does my daughter. She keeps stealing it!
I am going to make a few and give them as gifts for Valentines.

Looks great! I love lotion bars as well.

woooo....so, you just did your lotion and poured it into a mold?

Pretty! Is that one of the new Milky Way molds?

Thank you! I was pretty pleased with it considering it was my first one. One problem was that it is with the natural cocoa butter...now I have serious chocolate cravings!!! Not good! LOL

Vinca Leaf this is a solid lotion. Unfortunately I don't have my recipe for it as I am having dinner at a deli and on my laptop. However, I know that there are a LOT of lotion bar recipes out there.

soapbuddy this is one of those little plastic molds that you see in Michaels for m&p soap. It has I think 5 different designs in one. I wish it didn't have all those different designs though...I just want the pretty round one like this...but many.

Since I didn't have anything to put the lotion bar in I just bought a paper mache round box and it fit perfectly. I think I want to see if I can put them in a 2 ounce tin. Not sure if it will fit but I will find out later when I am able to get a tin.

Vinca Leaf - lotion bars are kind of like chap-stiks, but for the skin. That is what they remind my of anyway....

I meant, heated the lotion bar mixture, then poured into a mold.

I made some the other day, after I looked at LUSH's site and saw what was in them, and what they charge! So I wrote down the main ingredients, did a google for a basic recipe with those ingredients, and did a batch. I used the 1 oz tart cups, since we're not selling them. Maybe in the future, but I need to tweak the recipe a bit. I liked the first version ok, but I'm not completely happy with it.

I was on the lush site but only found 'massage' bars, is this the same thing really? Well, it looks really pretty!

Their massage bars are most likely the same thing. You can use individual soap molds like the Milky Way molds for these.

The lotion bars look great!

They're fun to play with, too, and the basic recipe is very forgiving, so you have lots of ability to tweak and get exactly the feel you want.
