Background - soon to add bath bombs to my market line-up. Test batches are turning out great. Time to package and sell these babies .
I am trying to decide between clear plastic egg cartons or recycled gray paper ones.
Both are blank for me to add labels or whatever.
Both hold 6 eggs (bath bombs)
The plastic is completely recyclable.
The paper is 100% recycled content and recyclable.
Believe it or not - the costs is almost exactly the same.
The paper will appear more "green", but the plastic shows off the pretty bombs better.
I need to order asap - trying to decide which will sell better. Yes, I have been giving thought to the reactions of my customers. They are about a 50/50 split - some want no packaging, "natural" soaps, no bag, "I have my own thanks", types; and others definitely want the gifty packaging and respond to the brighter colored soaps.
So...as I think it through, I am trying to decide who may (hopefully) be buying the bombs... is it mostly little kids - who will want bright colors? Or is it greenie women wanting to relax with a natural product?
I personally would like to use cellophane bags, but need packaging that can stand up to packing and moving, so...
What do you think and why?
TIA for your help!
