hi everyone - and happy spring
i've written about this before, but i'm still having some issues.
i've put to gether a recipe for shaving cream with the following(in amount order):
foaming bath butter
distilled h20
aloe liquid
sweet almond oil
m&p soap
castor oil
shea
bentonite clay (for slip)
silk protien (for slip)
vit e cap
EO ( few drops for fragrance)
optiphen (preservative)
at first, i put too much soap in and it kept comming out more fluffy/spongy, not creamy. i've lowered the amount of soap, increased the amount of foaming butter and sweet almond oil. i melted all butters and heated all oils before mixing.
now it has the consistancy of whipped egg whites, though not as stiff. it's very moiturizing, which is great, but it's too light. i'd like it to be a bit more compact and creamy, and have more slip. i really don't want to add more butters as it's already on the verge of being a bit greasy.
what am i missing? is there something else i can add?
any help is appreciated.
thanks!!
