I have made many bath bombs in the past, but decided to make bath bombs with SLSA. Ever since buying SLSA I have had some issues with results.
I have this recipe original:
1 Cup Baking Soda 1/2 Cup Citric Acid 1/4 Cup Epsom Salt 1/4 Cup Corn Starch 2 Teaspoons of Essential Oil 2 Teaspoons of Coconut Oil Food Coloring and Spritz with water until consistency is right.
Just getting ahold of some SLSA, I tried to modify the original recipe above and added 1/4 cup of SLSA and that was just a big ball of foam. I then added 1/8 of a cup for the next recipe, and the same result, and finally I did 2 Tablespoons of SLSA (See attached video). Even with 2 Tablespoons I don't see anymore fizz, I just see the bath bomb slowly bubbling and doesn't give off much of a show. I want my bath bomb to fizz like crazy like Lush has them do as well as throw bubbles/foam in the tub by using SLSA. Any tips on my recipe or anything you know that you could share to make mine work that way? I don't want a bath bomb that when it hits the water, doesn't fizz and just slowly foams over the span of 5 minutes or so.
Please see the following videos. One has the original recipe fizzing only, the other is the added SLSA at 2 tablespoons. I may try to add only 1 teaspoon or two at most and see what happens next.
