New to using preservatives.

How much do I need to get?

On my wish list at Brambleberry's so I don't forget anything is

1 lb. Shea butter
1 lb. Mango butter
1 lb. Cocoa butter

Also included is Emulsifying wax and I already have almond oil. I'll start by using some body safe f.o. I have left I use for candles, starting with the popular Love Spell.

I'm I missing anything for body butters?
Except how much preservative do I need?

Also I'll use some in sugar scrubs, do to being exposed to water.

I can always order more preservative from N.G., as they are closer to me, but they have a different kind that cost a little more, but Brambleberrys seems to be the only place that has the LCP soap base, I want to try, as well as trying rebatch and the tools I use for M&P soap ribbons. They have all that as well as the cyclomethicone (sp) oil I use in bath salts.

Do you need a preservative in re batch.

Some are water soluble, some are oil soluble. Some are temperature sensitive. They are used at different % and you need to be accurate. Too little and the product can spoil. Too much preservative can make the product irritating. Get yourself a jeweler's scale that measures in tiny amounts.
