I am wondering if fragrances that discolor in cold process soap also discolor in lotion. There are several fragrances that I have been avoiding for soap but would love to try them in a lotion.

They can. It depends which ones. I've had vanilla based FO's turn a lotion tan color and it wasn't pretty.

My favorite vanilla scent colors soap dark tan to brown, but has never discolored my lotion. Maybe you should do a small test batch for the fragrance you want to use to see what it does.
