good evening everyone im new on this forum but i wanted to ask a question on body butters. which is the best recipe for me to make based on the fact that i live in jamaica where its mostly sunny all the time even now at christmas? i want something that can stand up to the heat and wont melt. i would appreciate a quick response thank you and also do i have to put vitamin E in allbody butters?

Are you looking for a butter/oil only body butter or one that includes things like emulsifiers and/or water ingredients?

Vitamin E is an antioxidant that can help extend the shelf life of some oils. If you want to put it in there is all up to you.

You can try a harder wax like carnauba or candelilla instead of beeswax for a body butter. For the liquid oils you can use any oil that's liquid at room temperature. Then butters like shea, cocoa or mango.

Kokum butter (the one I used was refined, if that makes a difference) It was 90 F here for three days, and the 100%
kokum butter was still hard and solid. Doesn't melt hardly at all on the skin, so you'll need to add other softer butter or oil so it.

You should know that I'm very inexperienced at this - only made one recipe with kokum butter. I do like the moisturizing properties of it, and look forward to experimenting more.

Body butters may be a thick cream that basically moisturizes your skin, and is sweet for the body skin however do not use it on your face, body butters is mostly created with a shea butters, corn starch and may be a reasonably lotion and it's some scents that build it a lot of thicker than different lotions.
