I was asked by my mom and a few other people to make a salt scrub. When my mom visited she brought one that she bought somewhere that was quite nice. So I've looked up some different recipes, most of which call for either olive oil or coconut oil, both of which seem pretty greasy to me. The recipe I used was 1 C Olive Oil 2C Sea Salt 1/4 oz liquid glycerin soap 5 drops Rosemary and 5 drops peppermint
I cut the olive oil in half and used a mix of grapeseed, jojoba, and a bit of vitamin E in it's place. I washed my hands in it, and it's awful! Very greasy, and the salt I used was too coarse, so it was pretty abrasive. It smells wonderful though, so I can hopefully just use it as a foot scrub.
Any ideas on how I can make a nicer hand scrub? The one I tried had a nice feel but I don't know what was in it, the ingredient list said bahamian natural oils, proprietary blend. Anyone willing to share recipes? I hate wasting the good oils!
