What recipe did you use and how much fo & what fo did you use?
I've never found a problem with baking soda canceling out fo's in any products.

The baking soda doesn't cancel out the scent, but you cannot just add scent until you smell it well either. You need to know the max amount of scent that is safe to use. Make sure you check for the bath product you are making, bombs in this case, and then compare that amount to the amount you used. Add more if you can. If not, then you will need to switch to another scent. Some scents are light and overwhelmed by a tub of water. Plus, water and oil don't mix well, so you need to use hot water and swirl your oils around. If you add a small amount, a capful, of liquid soap and swirl that in with your bomb it will help to disperse the oils. That being said, I don't use the soap and I don't have an issue smelling my scents or essential oils, so I am thinking it is an amount issue for you.

eta: or an issue with the particular scent you used. Was it a body safe fragrance? Was it from a reputable vendor?

What was the recipe? How much fragrance did you add? Where did the fragrance come from?

I would convert that recipe into ounces. That will give you a better idea on how much fragrance to use. I don't use food coloring at all. I was told that it's not a good choice for any bath or body products. It can also bleed, stain skin, the bathtub or a washcloth.

I prefer to work with %, grams or ounces. Here is a recipe in %. That way you can make any amount you like.

SCI noodles or flakes 20.00
cocobetaine 20.00
cream of tartar 10.00
oil of choice 1.00
fragrance 1.00
bicarbonate 48.00
Total 100.00%

I agree with I calculator to Irena about not using food coloring and changing the recipe into ounces. As for the scent, go to the brambleberry page and use their scent calculator to get the amounts of their fragrances in various products.
For recipes, you can make your own or check the teach soap web page(s) for recipes. I am sure that you will find a few there.
