If you have a source to buy cooking oils, as long as they are pure, you can use them for making soap. I know that coconut oil is sometimes used in oriental foods. That is a good way to start. You might have a hard time finding lye though. Have you looked at a hardware store.

how can i make a soap from a cooking oil and a lye then?is that a liquid soap?i am interested in making a bubble bath soap.

Liquid soap is made from oils (like cooking oils) and potassium hydroxide.
Sodium hydroxide will give you solid soaps.
Most liquid bubble baths are synthetic detergents.
