Can someone please teach me how to calculate percentages? I am very new to all of this and I cannot find anywhere that shows me exactly how to calculate percentages. If a recipe says to use an fragrance or essential oil at 1%, how exactly do I figure that out? Thanks! :-)

i multiply the weight of the recipe by 0.01 to get that amount

OR, if your calculator has the % button, just input your total amount of oils and hit X 1 %. The number that then shows (do not hit the = button) is the amount that is 1%.
