Teach Soap

Some of the recipes for lip balms and lotions make so much, and sometimes it's a pain calculating to make a smaller batch. Is there a calculator out there somewhere that you can put a recipe into and ask it to change the ingredients to make only 1/8 or 1/4? I've tried googling but I didn't know what it would be called and I get a lot of calculators that are not what I'm looking for.

If your recipe is in percentages, just let 1% equal a gram: 100% = 100 grams
so a recipe (not an actual recipe!) that was 50% shea, 30% coconut, 15% beeswax, 5% meadowfoam would be
50g shea, 30g coconut, 15g beeswax, 5g meadowfoam. If you wanted to make half that amount it would be easy to convert: 25g shea, 15g coconut, 7.5g wax, 2.5g meadowfoam.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

well what I do is multiply by the fraction i want to split the batch into, say I have a recipe with 5oz of x and 9oz of y i want to split into a 1/4 I multiply both numbers by .25 and i got the amount I need (you might not want to do this but the math involved in all this is why I love it )
