Likely a silly question here, but I recently had a request to 'try' some of my body butter. She loved it and wanted to purchase a larger container of it so I got busy making it. Long story short, I told her it was a 4oz container and quoted her my price and she was more them pleased with it all however...once I whipped the shea butter and weighed it into the container I quickly realized that the product whipped up and to weigh less than the contained held. Do I need to put this on my product label? I filled the thing as full as I could get it and still only got about 3.5oz into my 4oz jar. Thanks

here a thought.... weigh the jar with lid.... then tare it out and reweigh it when its filled .. and you got the weight of product... that's what I did for my frist whipped shea butter.

I did the same thing with my first batch of salves. They are only 3 oz, but the container size is 4 oz. I kept wondering why I had some left over.
