Plain warm water bath with some oatmeal might help. Is your detergent scented? If it is I would switch to unscented. Are you using soft cotton clothing?

For psoriasis and eczema, taking a bath with Dead Sea Salts has been studied and proven to heal and control outbreaks. When I read one study it had a definite time of 6 weeks, but I am not sure if I recall the number of baths correctly, I am thinking a 20 minute soak 3 or 4 times a week, but I may be mistaken about that It has been a long time since I read those studies and it was place marked on my other computer.
There are several eo's and remedies that can help with the symptoms, especially the itching, but the Dead Sea Salt therapy is the only one that I know of that heals and controls outbreaks and has the studies to back up the claims. That being said, I have a friend who uses a mixture of cocoa butter, hemp seed oil, wheat germ oil and lavender essential oil and swears by that.

I have eczema on my legs and it has greatly improved by just using homemade soap rather than store bought. I've also been making my own lotions and use an unscented one on those areas and that has also helped with the dryness and itch.

Linda, I agree (and so do my clients!), using (good) handmade cp/hp soap greatly reduces skin issues and even reduces the amount of lotions and moisturizers needed. It's amazing how a small change can have such a large impact!

Thank you evryone. We do use fraganced laundry soap I got a bunch of fee kits I want to use and they all have fragrances. We have been using goat milk and honey homade bars I got from someone online. My skin has been ok kinda dry but my son is getting patches on his legs arms and back, he has had skin problems since birth. We try to use cotton fabrics but we both have some synthetic stuff. I am hopeing to make him a nice invented baby bar. I was just wondering if there was a good oil I could use on his patches instead of steroids cream and expensive store.bought creams

Mt Grandson has the same issue and they just use mango butter on him and it has helped. The shea butter broke him and my friend's grandson out worse, but the mango butter worked well. And I wouldn't use a fragrance on him at all. :)

You can infuse chamomile (or use the VERY expensive eo) BUT, while most are not, some people are allergic to it. If allergic to ragweed, stay away from chamomile of any type. And yes, you could also use a lavender eo, but I wouldn't. Aside from the fact that it pretty expensive for a laundry soap, I wouldn't use anything to scent until he is older and his skin is not as sensitive. Hopefully he will outgrow some of this. Some people do not though, and will always need to be careful about what they use. But you can introduce one thing at a time and then you will have better control and be able to see what works/doesn't work for him.

The above tips should help, but I recommend treating this from the inside out.
Try adding a teaspoon of virgin coconut oil, daily, to your diet. You will find that your skin and hair condition improve noticeably.
