I feel like such a dummy asking this since it is not my first liquid soap but it is my first using regular OO ( Daily Chef from Sams Club ) and using half water/ half glycerin. Is this at the gel stage???? Took about 20 minutes to trace but then never any seperation ( I guess due to the glycerin?) Also this is the first time I have made LS with OO that is not pomace. It is a totally different color than I am used to haha. Its 100% OO Castile LS.
600g OO
188g water
187g glycerin
110g KOH ( 3% SF )

Looks like gel stage to me. At this point I take a small bit out and check the pH with liquid phenophtalein drops. If the drop turns pink, I cook it more. If it stays clear, the soap is done.

The longest I've ever needed to cook my LS was 3 hours; most of the time it's ready before that.

My 100% almond butter soap never separated either. I think each oil acts differently. Though I heard OO takes forever to trace!
