Teach Soap

I'm looking to make a raspberry infused oil for lip balm , since I've had a customer specifically request a raspberry flavored lip balm. I can't find a good recipe to make the infused oil, and I' not entirely certain how to make the infusion, or what oil would work best. I'm getting ready to place a huge BB order next week so I want to make sure I'm getting all the ingredients I need for all my projects. I already have sweet almond oil, yellow beeswax, shea butter and coconut oil in the cart, am I missing anything? And how the heck do I make this infusion?

Why not just use raspberry flavour oil?

Raspberries won't infuse in oil since they are water soluble only. I would go with raspberry flavor lip balm oil.

Thanks! I found a raspberry fragrance oil, but not a flavored one. I guess, I need to keep looking for a fragrance oil then.

Any hints on where could I find those? I looked all over BB and just didn't see it, although I am wanting to order their other flavors. I've spent weeks pouring over and dreaming over at BB's site, I don't feel comfortable enough trying out other places without solid recommendations behind them I'm in the Continental US if that makes a difference on places.

If you google RASBERRY FLAVORED LIP BALM OIL you will get several pages of info. Also NEVER use fragrance oil in a lip balm. If you want to infuse rasberry leaves or fruit into an oil you can buzz it up in a blender FIRST and then put in in a stainless steel bowl or some other oven safe vessel and heat it along with you oil of choice at 270 degrees for at leas 2 hours. But you will not transfer any FLAVOR into this oil other than maybe a bitter taste. Also try Majestic Mountain Sage as well as Saveonscents..two fantastic companies high quality great selection.
