Made a new LS for xmas gifts today and doing the mug test now. It is not clear ( wasnt expecting it to be since it has shea and mango butters in it, also added some tussah silk to see what would happen ) so now im not totally sure if it is done. The best way I can describe it is it looks like lemonade. Checked for zap and there is none so it's good right?

Too much salt will cause that. Approx 2% is the max amount you should use.

What was your recipe? Too high in Coconut oil won't thicken with salt - but you can use Borax.

How many ounces of the salt solution did you use? Is it ruined if you used too much or can you shake it to redistribute?

I have to say the LS I made was one hell of an exercise in patience!!

Once LS separates, it needs to be binned.

What does the separation look like? Like the oils and water separating when stick blending?

I'm hoping I didn't add too much salt to mine as well

Coolant, do you mean 2% of total paste weight?
