Teach Soap

Hi all,

I have the MONDO bath bomb mold from BB - love it & plan on getting more in the future. But I am looking to buy some that are smaller for a variety of sizes. Any suggestions on where I can find one? I've looked on Amazon and have seen a few there, but not sure really about the quality...

I use a meatballer. Sometimes you can find clear plastic Christmas spheres that separate into two halves from Michael's.

I have these, the spheres you can find on other sites in different sizes, I have yet to figure out how exactly to use the scooper as they never stick together for me, but perhaps you'd have better luck!

I've used the meatballer and had good luck with it, I've also used the plastic ornaments and silicone heart molds, I've noticed that it's touchy trying to get both sides to stick together, over pack it and it won't work. Too loosely additional falls apart. Lol

I've heard several people having great results with a snowball maker (Amazon.com has best prices I've found), so I ordered one and can't wait to play with it when it gets here. Will also come in handy this winter!

Thanks all for the awesome suggestions. I have added a couple of them to my Amazon wish list. Just sold a bunch of textbooks back to them for some credit. Just waiting on the credit to be applied!

I always use stainless steel holds after finding bits of plastic in my bath bombs from those Xmas ornament plastic balls. I researched and it's quite common for them to break down and contaminate the bath bombs without you even knowing.

I ordered mine from eBay, but they're plastic and the bombs are about 2.25 oz. I found the bb one, though. I want some!

I use the meatballer method now. It really is easy. If you are having trouble getting the two sides to stick it is because you need to let it sit for about 10 seconds. I scoop, cram the two sides together and actually stick my little finger in the hole to pack it down (you could use a dowel), fill the hole and pack it some more. Anyway, after holding it for 10-15 seconds I open it up. One side of the meatballer comes off and then I tip it into my hand and tap the other side out.

I like it so much I'm going to get a 2nd meatballer so that I can be scooping one as the other one rests. I made 30 bombs in 35 minutes with one meatballer. Yeah! I got my meatballer at Williams Sonoma for $12.

If you're looking for different shapes, The Dollar Tree usually has shaped ice cube trays. Right now they've got pumpkins, skulls & bones.
