Was able to reduce the glucamate % from 3.8 to 2.5, by using salt thickening. (The AKYPO responds to that) Increased the betaine somewhat, too.
Early feedback on the sulfate-free is very favorable, "*loads* of lather" was noted. Just got an order for 50
Very happy with this, I am not going to continue using ALS for anything... I really like this AKYPO, so versatile.
The glucamate VLT has bactericidal and fungicidal properties, so my preservative system is enhanced, a good additional factor.
Must buy glucamate now. Minimum order is $500, oh well, have to bite the bullet.

This particular company is great, very supportive. The rep comes to see me, they give me lots of FO samples to try free, they also give me generous samples of things like the Glucamate, and provide small quantities (eg 5Kg) of specialised surfactants. That's very valuable to me because as I'm sure you know, getting hold of 'reasonable' amounts is a major problem for small businesses. Of course in the US you have companies like Herbarie but I can't use those.

1.25% NH4Cl works well in the formulation, thickens dramatically, allows reduction of Glucamate to 2%.
