I wanted to make a whipped butter like that is only butter and oils with a scent that contains vanillan (sp) in it. What I wanted to is do anhydrous products turn brown with vanilla based scents? Is there a stabilizer out there for anhydrous products? On WSP they have a vanilla color stabilizer for cp soap that says it is oil soluble (I have emailed them and are waiting back on a response) but does anyone know if it would be usable in an oil and butter product? I am ordering some pink sugar fo and really wanted to add it to a whipped butter but I wanted to color it with rose pearl mica but want to know if there is way to keep it from going brown or if products that contain no water go brown. Thanks!

Over time it will turn tan to brown. I don't think the vanilla stabilizer is safe to use in leave on products. I have some of it and don't use it. It's very strong smelling and pungent!!!

PS. I forgot to add that fragrances wilth different vanilla content react differently and the final color might differ.
