Teach Soap

So I have some 2oz jars, perfect size for my sugar scrubs for my testers since there will be a couple of uses out of it. The issue is that its summer and temps are high across most of the US.

Just curious how you seal your jars. I have both shrink bands and the press & seal tops for the jars. I don't mind doing both even if it does cost me a little more. But I was thinking if it ended up getting hot enough to melt it a bit and was on its side in shipping, would it eventually seep out through the threads of the lid and leak? Would anything like a body butter or scrub be better off as far as leakage goes to do the press & seal tops?

I do press and seal for most of my jars. The last batch of my scrubs I shrink wrapped them as well due to triple digit heat.

I've changed to induction sealing. It makes a perfect seal with 100% customer confidence. You can use a domestic iron to apply the seal, I discovered.

I buy mine from a local distributor. There are several in the area that sell pots, jars, bottles, etc.
The aluminium seals are a little difficult to come by, I have to phone them and ask them to get them for me, I usually just buy 100 at a time; I bought some yesterday along with some sample bottles for shampoo and creams. The same place also sells EOs, they have a wall full of jars, hundreds of them, and I spotted that they also sold talc, so I bought a kilo of "English" (refers to the aroma) talc for roughly $2, not bad I thought.[/quote]

Probably not, but what are you looking for exactly? If it's light enough to post, such as seals, it would be no problem to get some for you. I'll give you the details if you like but you'd have to speak Spanish to them, I doubt if they speak English! I have to go back there because they sold me 56mm seals and I asked for 58mm. Argh. The talc is nice though. Now I need a talc tin to put it in!

Thanks for your kind offer, but I will pass. If I need something, I prefer a vendor that I can use on a regular basis. I don't speak spanish.

You can get the press and seal inner seals through DebbieMays in small quantities. Is there a trick to getting them to stay in place? Mine screwed up into the cap when I used them. I am doing something wrong
